Kids Carving Saturdays

Throughout the year, the third Saturday of most months you will find Guild members working with budding decoy carvers and painters at the Guild workshop. Youngsters from ages 7 to 15 gather to learn how to carve and paint ducks and shorebirds.

To pre-register, call the Guild Building at 252-838-8818 on the Thursday prior to the third Saturday between 9am and 1pm. Kids need to pre-register so we know how many to plan on.

Guild members who wish to volunteer to help with these sessions, please contact Curt Salter or Kelley Nelson at the Guild building.

Kids Showcase Day

Each September the Guild holds a special showcase day just for the kids. The day includes lots of activities - that of course include painting a decoy - but also include a BB gun shoot, archery, rescue vehicle and fire truck display, loon calling and a great hot dog lunch, to name a few. More information about this year's Kids Showcase Day will be placed here when available.
