2005 Kids' Day Event
The Kids' Day event was held on August 13, 2005. The day is one intended to give kids the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fun and educational outdoor activities. This year activities included learning about hunting and fishing safety, wildlife preservation, laws associated with hunting and fishing, fire engine and rescue squad vehicles, a Core Banks "Banker" pony, decoy painting, and the ever popular big dirt mover.
Every child won a prize of some kind and a "Hunt of a Lifetime," which included an deer hunt in the western part of NC and a hunting rifle, was given away as well.
